Verde Valley AVA

Located north of the Phoenix metropolitan area in central Arizona, the Verde Valley is Arizona's youngest AVA. The climate features high elevations over 3,000 - 5,000 ft. The total growing area for this region is roughly 130,000 acres (200 sq mi), which primarily produces Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Malvasia Bianca, Picpoul Blanc, Petite Sirah, Sangiovese, Seyval Blanc, Syrah, Tannat, Vermentino, and Viognier.
